The donation will be used to restore an ancient theatre and stage backdrop. The presentation ceremony, attended by German world travel reporter Dieter Kronzucker, took place at the site in Myra on 7 June 2012. Kronzucker, who started out as a tour guide himself, did not miss out on the opportunity to give a short speech to the RSD cultural tour guides present.

The man in charge of the excavation, Dr. Nevzat Çevik, thanked RSD owner Christian Funk and the Managing Director of RSD Germany, Horst Zsifkovits, for the generous donation.
